H&C Application

Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) applications are a type of immigration application that allow individuals to request an exception to certain immigration rules on the grounds of humanitarian and compassionate considerations. These applications are typically made by individuals who are not eligible to come to Canada or to remain in Canada under other immigration programs, but who believe that they have compelling reasons to stay in the country.

H&C applications are typically made when an individual is not considered a convention refugee, but they believe that they would face hardship or other negative consequences if they were required to leave Canada. This could include situations where an individual has strong ties to Canada, such as a spouse or children who are citizens or permanent residents, or where an individual has established a stable and secure life in Canada.

If you wish to make an H&C application, you will need to have your case argued in a tribunal, such as the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB). You will need to provide evidence to support your case and explain why you believe that you should be allowed to stay in Canada on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. This may include evidence of your ties to Canada, your personal circumstances, and the hardship that you would face if you were required to leave the country.

A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is a cost effective way to present your case and have a specialist argue on your behalf. We can help you to understand the process and the chances of success, as well as assist you in preparing the necessary documents and evidence.
